A series of 10 tips to keep your buyers good side...
The buyer/supplier relationship can be an amazing one, but it can sometimes be hard to build and maintain those relationships. Follow these key tips and see the difference
Tip 1. Be Proactive.
A buyer's day (or week or month!) can get away from them with all the meetings, hundreds of emails, fits, trips away, team management, sign offs and all those random issues that seem to come out of nowhere.
Sadly, its often the product development and communication with suppliers which inevitably gets pushed out while they fight fires.
They need their suppliers to be pro-active.
Be on top of the trends.
Be developing and sourcing new fabrics and shapes.
Make sure you are updating any previous best sellers and basic product.
Make sure you have the newest sleeve detail or trims in your range.
You might not get it perfect every time, but when you do get to see you buyers, they have a starting point to work from and will see you as a supplier who can take the pressure off them by bringing ideas to the table.
